Website Validator

The Apex Business Support Website Validator is an application to test your website in various testing environments.

There are 3 tests in the application which will test for good HTML coding semantics using W3C validators and also it will test your website's Google PageRank.

Using the Website Validator

Once downloaded the executable file can be run as a stand-alone application (no installation required)

Start the application

Enter your website address and click "Next"

Click "Check HTML Validation"

This will open a web browser window and navigate to the correct website testing URL.

It will either say "Passed" and be green, or if there are errors/warnings it will be red. If green go back to the application and enter 0 errors and 0 warnings, else enter the correct numbers of errors and warnings into the application.

Now click "Next" on the application

Click "Check CSS Validation"

This will open a web browser window and navigate to the correct website testing URL.

It will either say "Passed" and be green, or if there are errors/warnings it will be red. If green go back to the application and enter 0 errors and 0 warnings, else enter the correct numbers of errors and warnings into the application.

Now click "Next" on the application

Click "Check PageRank"

Here you will notice an Article within the Apex Business Support website. Enter your website address into the PageRank checker and click "Check PR".

You will now be taken to the official PageRank Checker website where you may have to enter an anti-bot code to prove that you're a human user. Then click "Verify"

You will be given a score between 0 and 10.

Go back to the application and enter your score, then click "Next"

Now the application should have all it needs to calculate your website's score, and so click "Analyse" to get your website's score.

This shouldn't take more than 30 seconds to calculate and then you will find your website score in bold.

If your score is lower than 30 then even if you have a few errors/warnings your website still has a good PageRank.

Uninstalling the Website Validator

Because it is a stand-alone application there is no installation for this application, thus there is no un-installation either.

To remove the application from your computer simply delete the application and any shortcuts that you created for it.
